Summer Madness: Friend

Summer is my favorite time of the year, and like a wild person with tons of ideas, it seems to be the time when I work the most. And when I work the most I end up in unique situations sometimes really amazing, sometimes challenging. I think it's from the longer days, or the euphoria that comes from the weather, but like a madman I just create. During one of my summer madness periods, I met a really cool girl. She was a painter watercolor and gouache. At the time I was about a month into my art journey, graphite only, and I wanted to impress her because I thought it was cool that she made art. In my opinion she was the best of the best. Her work was so honest, and the watercolor was deep not the traditional boring old lady stuff watercolor can be associated with. We talked every single day for weeks, which is really rare for me. I prefer to stay focused and talk to no one during my creative binges, but the things we discussed very few people could keep up. We fly on very similar wavelengths. I taught her how to compose a bit, and she promised me art lessons in return. By the time I got my art skills up, she was gone. Not sure what happened, but she left me with a massive gift the drive to paint, to make art, to be an artist. Friend is a gouache painting. I had no idea what gouache was before her. Honestly I don't really love gouache, but it reminds me of my friend.
